Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is seeking a Front Desk Clerk to greet guests, handle check-in/check-out, and manage guest accounts with accuracy.

You’ll coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to promptly resolve issues and ensure a smooth stay for all visitors. Position requires at least 6 months of related experience or training, strong English communication, and the ability to build rapport with guests and teammates.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures or regulations.
• Ability to communicate with correct English grammar, both written and spoken.
• Must build and maintain excellent rapport with guests and team members.

• Verify payment methods, post charges, and balance cash drawers daily.
• Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts using hotel systems.

• Prepare deposits and follow cash-handling procedures.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

As a Front Desk Clerk, you will,

• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests; assist with check‑in, check‑out, and overall front desk operations


• Verify payment methods, post charges, process payments, and balance cash drawers daily


• Maintain accurate records of room availability, guest accounts, and registration information using hotel systems


• Review guest accounts at checkout, correct discrepancies, and resolve guest concerns professionally


• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to address guest issues promptly


• Conduct Service Assurance calls within 30 minutes of guest arrival


• Review shift logs, room rates, selling strategies, VIP lists, and group blocks with leadership


• Assist guests with luggage, including safe handling, storage, and delivery using bell carts when needed


• Escort guests to rooms when appropriate and provide information on hotel amenities and hours of operation


• Deliver guest messages, mail, and special requests in a timely and accurate manner


• Respond to guest inquiries and provide directions, recommendations, and local information


• Complete Guest Services AM/PM checklists and ensure work areas remain organized and clean


• Prepare deposits, secure cash floats, and follow all cash‑handling procedures


• Comply with management requests, company policies, and all applicable gaming laws and regulations

• Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.


• Minimum of six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.


• Ability to effectively communicate with correct English grammar skills including verbal and written communications.


• Must build and maintain excellent rapport with internal and external customers, team members, community, media, and shareholders.
