Job description

Purpose of the Position: Greet and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay.

As Our Front Desk Agent, You Would:

  • Check guests in and out of room(s).
  • Provide accurate and appropriate information to guests and customers.
  • Input and retrieve information routinely from computer systems. Make appropriate room selections based on guests' needs.
  • Respond to guest requests and handle issues or complaints professionally.
  • Remain calm and alert during emergency situations or heavy hotel activity.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and clearly. Input all information into computers to communicate guest requests and complaints.
  • Handle internal and external customer interactions with patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts.
  • Answer guest questions about the hotel and local area services.
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
  • Assist with luggage storage as needed.
  • Maintain cash handling accuracy, including responsibility for House Bank.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a property leader who:

  • Possesses excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
  • Has a positive, can-do attitude, always ready to say YES!
  • Can stand and move throughout the front office area and perform essential functions.
  • Can read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Can accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Has hearing and visual ability to observe and detect emergencies.
  • Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
