Position Overview:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk, including processing guest check-ins, member retention, and maintaining high-quality customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Execute procedures as outlined in the front desk manual.
  2. Answer phones, take messages, and transfer calls.
  3. Be knowledgeable about club amenities and surroundings.
  4. Communicate kindly and sincerely, using members' names.
  5. Attend all staff and club meetings and events.
  6. Establish and maintain professional relationships with members and staff.
  7. Ensure the front desk is clean, maintained, and organized at all times.
  8. Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.

Expectations:

  1. Present a professional demeanor at all times when representing Genesis Health Clubs.
  2. Provide input in developing strategies to support club goals and objectives.
  3. Respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints from members.

Job Requirements:

  1. Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  2. Must hold current CPR certification or obtain it within 60 days of the start date.
  3. Ability to work well with others.
  4. Experience in cash handling and credit card transactions.
  5. Strong customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to stand for long periods.
  2. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff, including reading, writing, and speaking.
