Part Time Position - 2 to 3 shifts a week

Approximate shift hours range between - Noon -11pm

*Pay range - $18.00 - $18.75 per hour

The Embassy Suites Portland Airport features 251 guest suites and 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. The hotel is located less than half a mile outside the Portland International Airport, seven miles from downtown Portland, and nine miles from downtown Vancouver. The hotel has convenient access to the light-rail public transportation reaching the suburban areas of metro-Portland.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our Front Desk team. The ideal candidate uses their engaging personality to create a memorable first impression for our guests. While checking in and registering guests, the Front Desk Agent is a source of knowledge for the guest about the hotel, its amenities, and the local area.

Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest.
  • Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
  • Assist guests with sending and receiving faxes, packages, and mail.

What do we need from you to be successful in this role?

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service is our top priority, consistently being awarded JD Powers Customer service awards. Being on our team means you have a strong desire to make an impact on other people.
  • This role interacts with guests and team members all day; they must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with an outgoing and engaging personality.
  • The hotel operates off a Property Management System and the front desk agents work in that system all day long; someone with the ability to pick up computer skills easily is necessary.
  • The front desk role is at the center of attention for all hotel guests and requires someone to be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our teams must be flexible with respect to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
