Coastal Health is currently seeking a motivated, career-oriented Front Office Check-Out Representative to join our growing team! This individual will play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient service by greeting and assisting patients, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate records and accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance patient satisfaction by efficiently scheduling appointments in person and over the phone
  • Keep appointments running smoothly by notifying providers of arrivals and delays, and monitoring schedules
  • Provide a welcoming and calming presence to patients, addressing their concerns and maintaining a clean reception area
  • Ensure treatment information is readily available by accurately filing and retrieving patient records
  • Maintain accurate patient accounts by recording and updating personal and financial information
  • Support revenue cycle efforts by recording, collecting, and reconciling patient balances and managing patient credit as needed
  • Manage office inventory and supplies by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary
  • Respond to patient emergencies or distress in a calm, effective manner
  • Uphold patient confidentiality by securely handling personal and financial information
  • Support office operations by adhering to internal policies and procedures and suggesting improvements
  • Foster a collaborative environment by contributing to team success and helping wherever needed
  • Greet all patients and visitors warmly—both in-person and over the phone—and respond to inquiries or direct them appropriately

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare setting (Required)
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in scheduling, word processing, and general office tasks
  • Team-oriented with a focus on quality and professionalism
