Responsibilities
  1. Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel. Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
  2. Promptly, accurately, and efficiently post all charges.
  3. Have complete working knowledge of the Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and less frequent tasks.
  4. Manage cash handling accurately, including receiving cash, checks, and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making correct change.
  5. Review reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly.
  6. Understand hotel rates, discounts, and how to handle each.
  7. Know reservation procedures, including how to take same-day reservations quickly. Follow cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary.
