Job summary

Spire Hospitality is seeking a Front Desk Associate at The St. James Hotel in Selma, AL. You will warmly welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, and provide exceptional service to ensure memorable stays.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year of front desk or guest-facing experience, and comfort with MS Office and PMS systems. Previous hospitality experience and strong communication are a plus.

Qualifications

• One year of Front Desk experience in hotels or guest-facing roles preferred.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality required.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver courteous, proactive service to guests throughout their stay.
• Assist guests with check-in/check-out and inquiries.
• Answer calls promptly and handle requests efficiently.
• Multitask effectively in a busy front desk environment.
• Resolve guest concerns with calm, professional service recovery.

Essential Job Functions:

• Deliver unparalleled service, courtesy, and care to our guests
• Respond promptly and effectively to guest questions and requests
• Streamline the check-in and check-out process for guests
• Answer incoming phone calls with promptness and professionalism
• Excel at multitasking in a dynamic environment
• Resolve guest concerns with attentive service recovery

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 10 lbs
• Primarily standing for majority of shift

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or its equivalent

Experience:

• One year of Front Desk experience in hotels preferred
• One year of experience working in customers service or a guest-facing role required
• Full understanding and comfort working on a computer with MS Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel
• Previous experience with PMS systems a plus.
