Description

We are seeking an individual to fill the position of Front Desk Agent at the 33 Seaport hotel in NYC. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Responsibilities
  1. Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  2. Assist guests with check-out, ensuring accurate billing, handling payments, processing credit/debit cards, converting foreign currency, and managing gift certificates.
  3. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information such as room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area details.
  4. Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  5. Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests.
  6. Handle guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  7. Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Front Desk Agent preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
  • Customer service experience.
  • Team player and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Motivated by peer recognition, growth opportunities, and making an impact.
  • Some college, technical training, or high school diploma preferred.
Additional Information

Anticipated compensation range for NYC applicants is $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, dependent on experience and other factors.
