Position Summary: The Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting guests in a courteous and efficient manner, handling inquiries, checking in/out, and reserving rooms.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assisting guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally at all times.
  2. Maintain a high level of service and hospitality.
  3. Promptly and effectively deal with guest concerns or issues and see all are met to satisfaction in a timely manner.
  4. Post guest charges, collect payments, and follow all cash handling procedures.
  5. Handle guest mail and messages with respect to privacy and professionalism.
  6. Be knowledgeable of the hotel brand and various programs (travel programs, special offers).
  7. Communicate effectively with various departments and management on guest comments and concerns.
  8. Respond quickly to incoming calls, lobby visitors, and team members needing front desk assistance.
  9. Have full knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  2. Experience in customer service, forward-facing, or other guest-related positions.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar computer applications.
  4. Experience in the hospitality industry as a front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or other guest services preferred.
  5. Experience with brand or property specific PMS, Quore, PBX, and other hotel-related systems preferred.
  6. Must speak English fluently.
  7. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  8. Problem-solving, reasoning, and ability to multi-task and interact with people under pressure.
