Overview

The Front Office Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Pay Rate: $16.35 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Answer inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
  • Be aware of all rates, packages, and promotions listed in the Red Book.
  • Familiarize with all in-house groups and restricted dates.
  • Obtain necessary information for reservations and quote rates accordingly.
  • Understand hospitality terminology and emergency procedures.
  • Handle check-ins and checkouts courteously and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with staff via radio etiquette.
  • Operate all relevant front desk computer systems.
  • Complete shift duties timely and accurately, including reports and paperwork.
  • Maintain promotional materials and guest programs.
  • Keep work area clean and assist with guest safes.
Qualifications
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in hospitality preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain high standards of appearance and professionalism.
  • Reliable attendance and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Ability to handle problems proactively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Cross-training in hotel operations is a plus.
