Job summary

Renaissance Indianapolis North, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks a Front Desk Agent to deliver warm, professional service and locally informed guidance to guests. You will check in guests, answer questions about the hotel and area, and handle requests with accuracy and care.

This role requires a friendly, proactive attitude, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Weekend and holiday availability is expected as part of a dynamic hospitality team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Outgoing personality and strong engagement with guests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Computer skills necessary for front desk operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
• Must be available for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and provide information about the hotel, amenities, and local area.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build guest relationships.
• Resolve issues and WOW guests through positive recovery when needed.
• Promote and sell hotel programs and services.
• Coordinate with other departments and share relevant information.
• Know emergency procedures and hotel policies.
• Maintain the front desk cash handling and bank procedures.
• Communicate with the manager on duty and follow posting and refunds procedures.
• Assist other departments as needed.

What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our Front Desk team. The ideal candidate uses their engaging personality to create a memorable first impression for our guests. While checking in, registering guests, the Front Desk Agent is a source of knowledge for the guest for everything about the hotel, its amenities, and the local area.

Your Role

• Help guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience
• Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest
• Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
• Help to resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right
• Promote and sell special hotel programs.
• Interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
• Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
• Maintain house bank.
• Communicate all pertinent information to manager on duty.
• Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
• Assist other departments as needed.
