Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated Banquet Set-Up Attendant for the Renaissance Indianapolis North. You will help direct setup and preparation of banquet rooms for events, and assist with tear-down after functions.

The role is physical, requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 75 lbs, and involves weekend and on-call hours with pay from service charges. A friendly, guest-focused approach and teamwork are essential to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be highly detailed oriented and able to follow instructions.
• Must be comfortable with a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and arrange conference equipment in rooms per event order and standards.
• Daily cleaning of classrooms, ballrooms and team rooms and restocking supplies.
• Refreshes meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks.
• Moves convention material boxes and set up materials as needed.
• Bus tables and re-set them.
• Resolve guests’ issues and create an amazing experience.
• Maintain positive relations with culinary and stewarding staff.
• Maintain awareness of all events and meetings taking place.

What you will have an opportunity to do

This position is eligible for $500 in sign on bonuses ($250 paid after 30 days, $250 paid after 90 days), and quarterly incentive plans. Position requires availability to work weekends. As an on‑call employee, you will be scheduled as needed by business demand. This position is paid from a percentage of the service charges from client events, and regularly pays $30-$40+/hour. It is a physical job, requiring ability to move heavy items (tables, chairs, staging) through the entirety of the shift. We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Set‑Up Attendant to join our team! This individual will help to direct the set up and preparation of banquet rooms for banquet functions, as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function. If you have experience with setting up banquet events, enjoy making meaningful connections, figuring out what it takes and stepping it up to win the day is what you do, and you love it, we want you! Your role

• Assemble and arrange conference equipment in conference rooms per event order and to the standard set by Conference Services management.
• Daily thorough cleaning of classrooms, ballrooms and team rooms following proper cleaning standards including the removal of trash from meeting spaces and the restocking of meeting room supplies.
• Refreshes meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks.
• Completes special projects as directed by department management.
• Moves convention material boxes, programs, etc. from hotel receiving docks, registration areas, guest rooms or suites.
• Bus tables and re‑set them as needed.
• Resolve guests’ issues and create an amazing experience.
• Communicate and maintain a positive relationship with culinary and stewarding staff.
• Maintain an awareness of all functions, events and meetings taking place at any given time #IND100

Compensation

Compensation: $4.00 - $40.00
