Description

Position Summary: The Personality position is primarily responsible for taking orders for food, aiding in the ordering of food, and acting as a cashier at the front counter or drive-thru window. This position also supports all activities in the dining/front area of the restaurant.

Primary Responsibilities

The following duties are representative but not exhaustive:

• Greet guests and assist with product decisions at the counter or drive-thru.
• Recommend promotional items, food contents, and appetizers.
• Verify customers' legal age for alcohol purchases by checking IDs.
• Perform cashier duties, including totaling orders, handling payments, and managing register tapes.
• Prepare drinks, salads, and trays as ordered.
• Inform guests about service formats and direct them to various restaurant areas.
• Deliver orders and check guest satisfaction.
• Handle drive-thru order dispatch procedures.
• Serve as host/hostess during high capacity, manage reservations, and inform guests about wait times.
• Restock and clean front counter and drive-thru areas, restrooms, and maintain cleanliness.
• Answer phones professionally and respond to inquiries.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to follow instructions and solve simple problems.
• Basic arithmetic skills, including handling monetary transactions.
• Understanding of written/verbal instructions, labels, receipts, and menus.
• Ability to construct simple sentences and communicate effectively with team and guests.
• No prior experience required.

Licenses/Certificates

May require a Food Handler’s permit, Foodservice Sanitation Certification, or other permits/licenses as per local laws.

Physical Demands

• Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and perform work mainly from a standing position.
• Must have stamina for extended shifts and frequent split shifts.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor environment with occasional exposure to high temperatures, humidity, and water.

Tools and Equipment
