Job summary

MarinHealth Medical Network in Larkspur is seeking a Medical Assistant to support front and back swing duties in the Breast Surgery clinic. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting symptoms, and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• A Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA is required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Re-processing/ procedural experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, record reason for visit and document symptoms.
• Provide injections, immunizations and other patient care services as ordered by the medical provider.
• Assist with medical procedures and triage to appropriate care.
• Maintain patient records and protect patient confidentiality.
• Process referrals and manage lab results and prescriptions.
