Qualifications

• Must possess solid knowledge of the restaurant food industry.
• One year of experience or comparable.
• Superior temperament, adaptable nature, and good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals.
• Measure ingredients and portion according to chef's specs.
• Wash, peel, and prep raw food; chop vegetables and make salads.
• Cut and portion different types of meat.
• Portion food and prepare dishes for plating.
• Ensure leftover food is stored properly.
• Test temperatures of foods at intervals.
• Maintain refrigerators, coolers, and dry storage; restock as needed.
• Comply with food safety and temperature standards.
• Open and close the restaurant; perform related tasks as requested.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers.
• Promote the restaurant’s community and culture; support eco-consciousness.
• Work as part of the team and model teamwork.
