Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join the culinary team. You will prepare nourishing meals from scratch using fresh ingredients and support the Gold Leaf Dining experience that defines our high standards for atmosphere and quality.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of restaurant experience, can deliver exceptional service to residents, and work well in a fast-paced setting. Evening and weekend shifts may be required. Applications are accepted ongoing.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in a commercial restaurant.
• Ability to provide high level culinary service and professional interaction with residents and associates.
• Capable of working well in a fast-paced environment and staying organized.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with residents' dietary needs and fulfill special meal requests.
• Prepare meals from the menu plan and assist with meal service.
• Maintain cleanliness of production and service areas.
• Inspect work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet food service standards and regulations.
• Follow safe work procedures including injury prevention, food safety, and infection control.
• Label and date all food in refrigeration, freezing, and dry storage.
