Job summary

University of Denver - DU - Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management Department is seeking a part-time student employee to support daily office operations and departmental activities. This role emphasizes organization, accuracy, and friendly service to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors.

The position involves inventory control, documentation updates, event support, and routine administrative tasks within an academic office setting.

Qualifications

  • Work study eligibility required.
  • Open only to students in the Daniels School of Business, with priority given to students in the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management.
  • 3.0+ GPA preferred, all applicants considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels for the academic and event teams.
  • Maintain and update student manual for role.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of copy room.
  • Print thank you notes to departmental donors.
  • Sort mail for department.
  • Create/maintain forms and spreadsheets for departmental staff.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the professional atmosphere of the Department.
  • Answer the phone and accurately record messages or transfer calls to appropriate contact within the Department.
  • Assist Career and Student Services with special projects and campus events.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and all visitors.
