Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring for a Server to provide friendly, accurate, and efficient service at our dining locations. You will welcome guests, take orders, promote specials, and handle POS transactions with a positive attitude.

Ideal candidates will have food service experience, good communication, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. TA offers benefits, growth opportunities, and a supportive team environment across multiple travel centers.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred.
• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Welcome and serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude.
• Be knowledgeable of menu items and promote daily specials.
• Process transactions of customers on a POS register.
• Prioritize your work according to the kitchen and dining guest needs.
• Maintain equipment per operating standards.
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling and/or preparing food.
• Build strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
