Job summary

Busy Beaver is seeking a Retail Cashier to deliver friendly, accurate checkout experiences at our Irwin, PA location. You’ll handle payments, greet customers, and keep the checkout area organized while supporting store programs and promotions.

This PT hourly role requires strong math and communication skills, reliability, and a willingness to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong time management skills to ensure efficient checkout.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Friendly, courteous, and customer service oriented.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Team player who enjoys working with others.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Experience in electronics, jewelry, or technical sales is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and accurately handle cash, credit, and other transactions.
• Scan and process customer purchases quickly and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Answer customer questions and resolve issues or complaints in a professional manner.
• Promote store loyalty programs and special promotions.
• Direct customers to sales associates for additional assistance.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed.
• Open and close registers daily, following policy and POS system procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
