Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a garage attendant for the Good Samaritan Campus in Portland, OR. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, directing garage traffic, and keeping the lot clean and safe during a Monday–Friday day shift.

You must have strong communication skills and prior customer service experience; a valid driver’s license is required. Pay is $18.00 per hour with benefits and free employee parking.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License: Valid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving record if driving company vehicle.
• Availability: 2nd/3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic with money.
• Appearance: Neat, uniformed presentation.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Salary Range: $18.00/hour.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift.
• Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or in motor carts.
• Provide assistance to customers who forgot where they parked.
• Be on time and in uniform for every scheduled day.
• Assist customers by answering questions or directing to the Facility Manager for help.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general tasks as directed.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, or policy violations to the Facility Manager.
