Qualifications

• No education or experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping them find products.
• Operate the cash register accurately and process all payment types.
• Count back change and issue receipts; handle refunds or credits as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines for tobacco, liquor, WIC, and related items.
• Bag merchandise, assist with drive-up and carry-out service, and stock shelves.
• Unload product, rotate stock, and maintain shelf presentation.
• Stay knowledgeable on item numbers, department layout, and weekly ads.
• Keep register area clean and report any cash discrepancies.
• Communicate clearly via intercom or phone and assist customers as needed.
• Maintain store safety and assist with displays and promotions.
• Work in other areas as assigned and adhere to Hy-Vee policies.
• Report to work as scheduled and on time.
