Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a part-time Checker at Knoxville Crossing (Peoria, IL). You will greet customers, scan items, handle multiple payment types, and bag orders while maintaining accuracy and cash security. Regular attendance is a must, and training will be provided at store level.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service and efficiency. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Friendly and courteous customer service is required.
• Regular, reliable attendance is essential.
• Willingness to learn store procedures and produce codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Greet customers prior to checking their order.
• Check out customer’s purchases accurately.
• Process cash, checks, debit/credit, EBT, and other payment options.
• Bag customer orders and maintain bagging area.
• Change receipts and coupon tapes as needed.
• Practice and maintain cash security.
• Identify and know produce items and use product codes.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
