Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a friendly checker to join our store team. You will greet customers, scan items, process payments, and ensure accurate totals while maintaining a clean, efficient checkout area.

You will need to identify produce items, distinguish coupons, handle cash and card transactions, bag orders, and help with basic store tasks. Training will be provided at store level and you must be able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and process payments.
• Good math and attention to detail.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Greet customers prior to checking their order
• Check out customer's purchases accurately
• Use proper cash handling with various payment methods
• Process manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons
• Bag customer orders and maintain cash register accuracy
• Maintain cash security and complete register records
• Identify produce items and use codes accurately
• Attend to other duties as assigned by store management
