Hy-Vee is seeking a Checker in our grocery department to operate the register, assist customers, and help ensure a positive shopping experience. You will greet customers, scan items, and handle diverse payment types while supporting store operations and promotions.

This hourly role emphasizes strong customer service, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. Training is provided, and adherence to policies is required.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions to complete tasks with few variations.
• Perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages as part of transactions.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing.
• Work effectively as part of a team to deliver a great customer experience.
