Responsibilities

• Accurately processing customer transactions in a timely and friendly manner.
• Greet customers as they enter and exit the store to convey friendliness.
• Verify merchandise quantities, descriptions, and prices during transactions.
• Handle returns/exchanges and sales of merchandise.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Receive payments on commercial accounts and assist with credit applications.
• Prepare and file tickets for later pickup and rain checks for out-of-stock items.
• Count tenders, prepare deposits, and organize the drawer daily.
• Use the verification system according to company policy.
• Direct customers to items and call team members for assistance.
• Maintain cash controls to protect company assets.
• Maintain a positive customer service attitude at all times.
• Follow all cashier procedures and accurately distinguish product differences.
• Help keep the store clean and perform other tasks as assigned.
