GPM Investments' E-Z Mart in Ruston, LA is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to keep the store welcoming and running smoothly. You will greet customers, operate the register, and help maintain clean facilities while upholding safety and compliance standards.

The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and flexible scheduling with weekly pay. Prior retail experience is a plus, but training is provided; physical stamina and willingness to work weekends are important.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Available on weekends and holidays.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• Basic English literacy: read, write, speak and understand.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication.
• Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Friendly, detail-oriented, reliable and punctual."
• Flexible and adaptable; willing to work in multiple departments.
• Retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and run the register with accuracy and speed.
• Sell lottery, cigarettes, and alcohol with proper age verification and compliance.
• Upsell customers to increase sales when possible.
• Keep the store clean and safe inside and outside, including restrooms and pumps.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and appealing.
• Maintain clean entryways, windows, and floors.
• Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and assist wherever needed.
