What You'll Do

As a Freight Agent in Training, you'll learn the freight brokerage business through a combination of structured training, hands-on experience, and ongoing coaching.

Training & Development

• Complete a 3-6 month ramp-up training period, based on performance and progress
• Learn the fundamentals of freight brokerage, transportation, and logistics
• Develop sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Work toward individual and team performance goals

Sales & Business Development

• Prospect for and develop new customers through outbound calls and relationship building
• Build and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers
• Identify customer transportation needs and provide solutions

Freight Operations & Customer Service

• Source and qualify reliable carriers
• Coordinate shipments from pickup through delivery
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and drivers
• Track shipments and provide timely updates
• Resolve transportation and scheduling issues
• Build long-term customer and carrier relationships
