Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Production Technician to set up and operate friction manufacturing equipment. The role covers the compound, cure press, bagger, preform, high-volume finish line, inspector, press unloader, and related tasks.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe workplace, inspecting for quality, documenting data, following standard work, and performing preventive maintenance and 5S practices. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Solid reading, writing and mathematics skills includingDecimals & fractions.
• Ability to follow written & oral instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret precise measuring instruments.
• Works well with others on the team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules; use PPE daily.
• Inspect product for quality; document scrap data and notify leadership.
• Operate machinery per standard work; follow instructions and record data.
• Maintain and utilize 5S standards in the work area.
• Perform preventive maintenance and autonomous maintenance as required.
• Produce required quantity daily and meet deadlines.
• Perform any other jobs as assigned.
