Job summary

Tenneco is hiring a Production Technician to set up and operate friction manufacturing equipment, including the compound, cure press, bagger, preform, high volume finish line, inspector, press unloader, and other assigned positions.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, inspecting product quality, recording scrap data, following standard work, 5S practices, and assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure timely production and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and data.
• Solid reading, writing and mathematics skills including decimals & fractions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules; use PPE daily.
• Inspect product for quality; investigate causes of scrap and record data.
• Operate machinery per standard work requirements and follow instructions from leaders/managers.
• Maintain and utilize the 5S standards.
• Perform preventative and autonomous maintenance as required.
• Produce required daily output and adapt pace to meet deadlines.
