Job summary

MSU’s FRIB Laboratory seeks a FRIB Project Controls Engineer I to develop and maintain project schedules and cost estimates for the FRIB program. You will manage baselines and reporting using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

A four-year degree in engineering or science and at least three years of scheduling experience are required, with knowledge of EVMS, PMBOK, and DOE/NSF/DOD project controls practices. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience with a project scheduling tool (MS Project or Primavera P6).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Develop and maintain cost control processes and report on cost status.
• Review schedule and cost performance for EVMS reporting.
• Identify schedule contingencies and analyze variances.
• Provide monthly status reports to project managers.
• Attend regular project controls meetings.
• Perform other duties within scope.
