Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Perishable Representative to keep the department well-stocked and clean while delivering excellent customer service. You will handle fresh products, packaging, labeling, and merchandising on a daily basis, and ensure all safety standards are followed.

You will assist customers by answering questions, taking orders, and guiding selections. The role includes multit departmental tasks, from Aguas to Produce, with focus on quality and sales growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and assist customers with selections.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily; rotate stock.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards and clean display cases.
• Operate department systems and assist in department-specific tasks (Aguas/Floral/Meat/Produce/Seafood).
• Engage in merchandising and suggestive selling to increase sales.
