Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Perishable Representative to keep the department well-stocked and clean while delivering superior customer service. You will prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily, ensuring all safety and sanitation standards are met.

Responsibilities include assisting customers by phone or in person, answering product questions, rotating stock, and supporting department areas such as Aguas, Floral, Market, Produce and Seafood as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills required.
• Experience with Telxon, ACR and label machines.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Reading and writing skills; planning and organizing ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and assist customers with selections.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily.
• Rotate stock and maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Take orders by phone or in person and answer customer questions.
• Merchandise products effectively and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain display cases and operate equipment safely.
• Follow department SOPs and store operating procedures.
• Assist in department areas (Aguas, Floral, Market, Produce, Seafood) as needed.
