Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Newtonville, MA is seeking a seafood team member to assist with counter service, stocking, and sanitation. You will ensure fresh displays, assist with sampling, and provide courteous, efficient service while upholding health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining signage, rotating stock, and handling seafood prep such as skinning, portioning, and labeling, while supporting team goals and delivering a positive store image to customers and fellow team

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh display by checking quality, stocking, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
• Maintains department signage and pricing.
• Keeps back stock in order.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized environment.
• Assists with sampling program; keeps areas full and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors and drains.
• Preps seafood: skins, bones, cooks or smokes fish; labels and dates cooked fish.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and effective suggestive selling; answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment; maintains equipment per safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures signs and pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
