Job summary

ShopRite of Bayonne is hiring a Seafood Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain the seafood department. You will prepare and pack fresh and frozen seafood according to standards, greet customers, and help with stocking, pricing, and quality control.

The role requires the ability to read and understand English, lift up to 50 lbs, and work cooperatively with teammates in a fast-paced retail environment. Weekly shifts may include weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English.
• Able to work with fresh, frozen seafood and related products.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Assist in receiving, pricing, stocking, and rotating seafood products.
• Differentiate between seafood types and advise customers on prep and usage.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the seafood area.
