Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club seeks a Produce Helper to ensure fresh, well-displayed fruits and vegetables and to assist Members with questions and product selection. You will support department standards and help maintain a clean, safe shopping environment across shifts.

The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and adherence to club policies while contributing to a positive in-club experience for Members. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Produce department experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fruit and vegetables preferred, including seasonal items.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assists Members in the produce department by answering questions, recommending products and safe handling tips.
• Inspects, rotates, and stores produce to meet standards and freshness.
• Rotates produce on the sales floor and keeps displays neat, stocked and labeled.
• Follows guidelines for disposing of damaged or expired products and supports inventory tasks.
• Maintains cleanliness of produce equipment and displays, and performs price checks when needed.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
