Job summary

Charlie's Produce is seeking a dedicated Re-packer to ensure produce items are packaged to customer specifications and meet productivity standards. You will handle labeling, boxing, weighing, and stacking finished products, primarily tomatoes and specialty peppers, while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The position emphasizes food safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a fast-paced warehouse environment, with benefits including paid time off and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations (reading scale).
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral instructions.
• Must follow instructions, respond to management direction.
• Attendance is critical; employee must be dependable to report to work on time as scheduled.
• Ability to observe and follow proper safety procedures, and a willingness to report potentially unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

• Reviews assignment sheet and reports to appropriate work station.
• Apply labels as necessary to individual containers.
• Folds corrugated boxes.
• Fills individual containers or boxes with specific quantity or weight of produce item or items.
• Weighs individual packages to verify that the correct weight/amount of product is enclosed.
• Works exclusively with tomatoes and specialty peppers, and other items assigned by management.
• Sets packaged items on trays or slides the filled container to coworker.
• Place/stack boxes of finished product onto pallet.
• At end of shift, cleans work table and surrounding area; wipe down table with sanitizer and sweep floor.
• Responsible for quality and food safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
• All employees are responsible for food safety and are expected to notify the appropriate manager if they witness any compromise to food safety or quality.
