Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Clark, NJ, is seeking a Front End/Produce Team Member to assist with receiving, stocking, displaying, and customer service on the Produce floor. You will support seasonal items, monitor spoilage, and ensure safety and cleanliness in line with WFM standards.

No prior retail experience is required. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering friendly, helpful service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing displays; keep cases and shelves clean, stocked, front-facing, and rotate stock.
• Assist Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and supervisor.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time, groomed, ready to work; attend required trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling; answer phones promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures including Weights and Measures, health/sanitation, and safety.
• Maintain clean, sanitary environment; keep equipment clean.
• Perform opening, mid, closing duties; ensure signs/pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
