Job summary

Whole Foods Market in New Jersey is seeking a Produce Team Member to support receiving and preparing product, maintain the Produce floor and displays, and assist customers. No prior retail experience required; must be able to lift 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand/walk 6-8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by front-facing and stocking cases and shelves.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing display of volume and seasonal items.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and leads.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and answers phones promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; maintains equipment to standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
