Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in New Jersey is seeking a Produce Clerk to sort, display, remove, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables. You will support Members with product knowledge and help maintain the department environment to meet company quality standards.

This role involves rotating produce, stocking shelves, and assisting with inventory under supervision of the Fresh Manager. Candidates should have produce experience, knowledge of seasonal items, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Experience in a produce department preferred.
• Knowledge of fruit and vegetables, including seasonal items.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members in the produce department, answers questions, recommends products and safe handling tips.
• Inspects, rotates, and stores produce upon delivery to meet standards.
• Rotates produce on the sales floor to maintain freshness and visibility; keeps displays neat and stocked.
• Maintains the produce reserve stock area and supports inventory as needed.
• Follows guidelines for disposing of damaged, spoiled, or expired products.
