Food Lion in Quitman, GA is seeking a store associate in the Perishable Department to provide quality customer service, manage product levels, receive deliveries, and help maintain food safety and department standards.

You will work with a team to keep meat, dairy and frozen items properly stocked, rotate stock, and follow company policies. The position requires a high school education or equivalent, strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsabilités

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store appropriately.
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done per policies and guidelines.
• Maintain proper product levels in Perishable Department (meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, ice cream).
• Process beef and grinds as directed from the production tool and as needed.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat cases as required.
• Clean and sanitize the department and maintain layout standards.
• Observe safe conditions; report accidents per Food Lion procedures.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge.
