Job summary

Food Lion is seeking an associate for the Perishable Department to provide exceptional customer service and maintain stock levels across meat, dairy, frozen, and other perishables. You will receive deliveries, rotate stock, label items, and help keep the department clean and compliant with safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn store systems like ACIS and CAO.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Understand and use company tools such as average cost inventory system (ACIS) and ordering (CAO).
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store appropriately.
• Maintain proper product levels in the Perishable Department including meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, and ice cream.
• Maintain a clean, safe department and comply with Food Safety guidelines.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents per procedures.
