Job summary

Conagra Brands is hiring a Seasonal General Labor (6am-6pm) to support Birds Eye production at our Darien, WI facility. You will join a large production team and report to a Team Lead Production.

Responsibilities include reading schedules, forming and assembling cases, monitoring bags for weight and seals, and maintaining area housekeeping while supporting start-up, changeovers and shutdowns. Housing and transportation are provided.

• Select acceptable bags/units for hand casing and case count.
• Discard unacceptable bags/units for rework.
• Report deviations from product requirements to operators or supervisors.
• Ensure cases enter the case sealer correctly.
• Visually inspect products and ingredients for flaws or contaminants.
• Stop production to report deviations or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain area housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Assist with start-up, production, changeover and shutdown.

We are hiring for a General Labor Fresh Pack to help produce Birds Eye products at our Darien, WI manufacturing facility. You will report to a Team Lead Production and join a team of 830.

Shift and Hours: 1st shift from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

DUTIES:

• To develop a working knowledge of production schedules; learning to read and follow schedule instructions.

• To form and assemble cases to meet production requirements/specifications.

• Monitor auto filled bags or trays for required fill weight, back seal, end seal, label placement, date code and label accuracy to requirements/specifications.

• Select acceptable bags/units for hand casing accurately for case count, orientation and placement.

• Discard unacceptable bags/units to be reworked.

• Reports deviations from product requirements to the operators or supervisors.

• Ensures that cases enter the case sealer correctly.

• Visually inspects products and ingredients for blemishes or other flaws, extraneous vegetable material or discolored units.

• Stops production to report any serious deviation from requirements/specifications, or malfunction of line equipment.

• To maintain area housekeeping.

• To assist operators with start-up, production, change over and shut down of production.

• Any other duties assigned by management.
