Job summary

Lee’s Marketplace is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our family‑owned grocery team in Utah. You’ll help prepare, package, and merchandise fresh meat and seafood while upholding strict food safety standards and rotating stock to minimize waste.

In this role you will greet guests, answer questions about cuts and cooking methods, and collaborate closely with store management and other departments to ensure a smooth, friendly shopping experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Meat Department experience welcome.
• Basic knowledge of food safety or willingness to complete training.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat based on customer orders.
• Assist guests with questions about cuts, preparation methods, and cooking recommendations.
• Ensure the meat department is stocked with fresh products and displayed attractively.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor inventory and rotate stock to minimize waste; assist in ordering as needed.
• Work with team and other departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
