Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Crew member to assist Members with questions on meats, poultry, seafood, and prepared foods. You will weigh, wrap, label, and package cuts, assist the meat cutter, inspect deliveries, and rotate stock by expiry dates.

You’ll maintain cleanliness, follow safety standards, and deliver friendly, fast service in a team-driven environment aligned to club goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience in meat and/or deli department preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, seafood.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood; help grind when needed.
• Assist the meat cutter with packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Inspect and store meat on delivery; rotate by expiration dates.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and cases in the meat department.
