Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You will assist Members with questions and recommendations while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards in the meat department.

Responsibilities include weighing, packaging, stocking cases, rotating products by expiration dates, and collaborating with team members to deliver a positive member experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats.
• Knowledge of wrapping machines (automatic/hand) preferred.
• Experience in meat/deli department preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weigh, wrap, label meat and seafood, and assist the meat cutter.
• Inspect deliveries and ensure meat meets quality standards.
• Keep meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases fully stocked and rotated by expiration dates.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and display areas in the meat department.
