Job summary

Eataly in Dallas is seeking a Produce Sales Associate to stock and display fresh produce while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work under the Fresh Market Manager, rotate and face produce, assist customers, and ensure freshness from deliveries to displays.

You’ll handle FIFO rotation, organize back stock, and communicate replenishment needs. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and a willingness to work up to 8-hour shifts in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a grocery setting preferred.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to multitask and organize workflow.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, rotates and faces fresh produce according to procedures.
• Greet customers, assist with orders and respond to inquiries/complaints.
• Receive deliveries, check invoices and note discrepancies.
• Ensure floor sets, signage and displays meet quality standards.
• Rotate items by FIFO to maintain freshness.
• Organize back stock and warehouse storage per standards.
• Communicate needs and product replenishment to the Market Manager.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment per regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Description

A Produce Sales Associate is responsible for stocking and displaying fresh produce products while providing exceptional customer service that consistently exceeds expectations. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

• Stocks, rotates and faces fresh produce products according to department procedure; trimming, washing, culling and crisping produce to ensure quality and freshness and limit shrink
• Provides excellent customer service by greeting, assisting customers, taking special orders and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
• Receives product deliveries, ensures order and invoice accuracy and notes discrepancies according to established departmental procedures to ensure freshness and quality
• Checks to ensure that all floor sets, visual presentations, signage placement, etc. are faced and merchandised attractively as per quality standards
• Ensures all items are rotated by first in first out (FIFO) standards
• Organizes and maintains back stock and warehouse storage according to department standards
• Communicates respectfully and effectively with customers on upcoming events, new merchandise and product replenishment to increase sales
• Maintains a safe and cleanly work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations
• Communicates fresh produce needs, adjustments, and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Ability to exert well‑paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds in weight
• Ability to use hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder, label maker and cleaning supplies

Compensation: Pay range is set from $16 - $18 an hour
