Job summary

Eataly Chicago is seeking a Fresh Produce Sales Associate (Part-Time) to join our team. The role involves stocking, displaying, and assisting guests with fresh produce selections while delivering outstanding customer service.

Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is required. Compensation is $18.00 per hour, plus benefits and employee perks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous grocery experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to effectively multitask and organize workflow.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate, and face fresh produce while ensuring quality and freshness.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and handling inquiries.
• Receive deliveries and verify order accuracy; note discrepancies.
• Maintain attractive floor sets, signage, and visual presentation.
• Rotate stock using FIFO to minimize waste.
• Maintain back stock and warehouse storage per department standards.
• Communicate fresh produce needs and issues to the Market Manager.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness per procedures and regulations.

Fresh Produce Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Eataly Chicago

• Compensation: USD 18 - USD 20 - hourly

A Fresh Produce Clerk is responsible for stocking and displaying fresh produce products while providing exceptional customer service that consistently exceeds expectations. Functionally reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, rotates and faces fresh produce products according to department procedure; trimming, washing, culling and crisping produce to ensure quality and freshness and limit shrink
• Provides excellent customer service by greeting, assisting customers, taking special orders and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
• Receives product deliveries, ensures order and invoice accuracy and notes discrepancies according to established departmental procedures to insure freshness and quality
• Checks to ensure that all floor sets, visual presentations, signage placement, etc. are faced and merchandised attractively as per quality standards
• Actively ensures all items are rotated by first in first out (FIFO) standards
• Effectively organizes and maintains back stock and warehouse storage according to department standards
• Communicates respectfully and effectively with customers on upcoming events, new merchandise and product replenishment to increase sales
• Maintains a safe and cleanly work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations
• Communicates fresh produce needs, adjustments, and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Compensation for this role is $18.00 per hour.

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. in weight
• Ability to use hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder, label maker, and cleaning supplies
