Job summary

WinCo Foods in Surprise, AZ seeks a team member for the Fresh Foods department to assist customers with over-the-counter service and to operate and maintain Deli/Seafood/Pizza prep areas. You will receive inventory, stock shelves, rotate products, and ensure accurate labeling and pricing while following strict food safety standards.

The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working across early morning to evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation; including night, weekends and holidays.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers to receive orders and perform customer relations.
• Able to read production guides, recipes and product labels and log production quantities and temperatures.
• Capable of performing basic math and calculating weights and measures.
• Maintain safety and food-handling procedures; wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with over-the-counter service in the Fresh Foods department.
• Operate and maintain Deli/Seafood/Pizza areas and food production equipment.
• Receive inventory, verify orders, stock designated areas and rotate products.
• Prepare production items according to recipes and food safety guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning and ongoing sanitation of equipment and work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and complete required records.
