Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking a team-oriented associate for the Fresh Foods department. You will provide over-the-counter service, assist customers, and help prepare pizza, deli, and seafood items in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following strict food safety procedures. Training and a supportive, employee-owned culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and teammates.
• Perform basic math and measure ingredients.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines in a fast-paced kitchen area.
• Must be 16 years of age or older and possess state Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and engage with them in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Take orders, answer questions, and upsell as appropriate.
• Prepare, stock, and rotate items in Deli/Seafood/Pizza sections.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of ovens, fryers, and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety procedures and document quantities and temperatures.
