Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service in our Fresh departments. You’ll engage customers, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are fresh and inviting. You’ll work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery to keep the store running smoothly.

Ideal candidates bring a customer-first mindset, strong communication, and comfort with store technology. Prior retail or food service helps but isn’t required; physical tasks are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
